Who opens a chicken tender joint during a global lockdown? Strip Joint, that’s who. With a bold concept, cheeky name, and flavours that bring the heat, this brand didn’t just launch—they stripped down the rules of restaurant branding and built something unforgettable.
The Challenge
Located on a quieter edge of downtown Calgary in a heritage building, Strip Joint needed more than great chicken to bring in a crowd. They had the product—juicy, crave-worthy tenders—but needed a brand that could match the flavour with flair, attitude, and Instagrammability.
What We Did
From brand voice to beer can, every inch of Strip Joint was designed to tease, tempt, and trend. We created a sassy, confident visual identity anchored by neon lights, juicy food shots, and bold type that screamed “bite me.”
Interior Design: We transformed the space into a visual playground—with hot pinks, deep blues, glowing feathers, and a custom lenticular photo booth to “pose like a snack.”
Packaging & Product: From a full lineup of jarred sauces—like the whiskey-kissed Tipsy Wrangler BBQ glaze—to the bold “CENSORED” Vienna Lager beer can label, every touchpoint oozed personality.
Animated Menu & Website: The digital menu was made to move—literally. With cheeky animation and immersive food shots, we made scrolling feel like foreplay.
Campaign & Swag: Our launch campaign gave people something to talk about—and wear. From “Big Dip Energy” hoodies to “Free Strip” flyers, we sparked curiosity, cravings, and lots of shares.
We also introduced the signature SJ xoxo sign-off, giving Strip Joint a playful but personal stamp of approval across every channel.
The Result
Strip Joint didn’t just open—they arrived. Loud. Proud. Fully dipped. The brand became a downtown destination, drawing crowds, lighting up feeds, and proving that when it comes to chicken, the more dramatic, the better.
